    The warm, intense and deep ruby colour of this wine is typical of the ancient local varieties of grapes that are used to make this important Valpolicella DOC. The nose anticipates the complex aroma, recalling plums and bramble berries, together with a very sombre leathery note. The palate expresses a strong-willed and demanding personality, with a vein of alcohol that is well balanced by polished tannins and a nicely rounded body. This wine pairs perfectly with platters of cured cold cuts, cheeses, and spit-roasted or grilled meats.
